There are so many great ways of visually representing a family tree or a series of generational trees. Thanks for the mention Jane! I need to try the DNA painter one again
I found a site once that let me upload a GEDcom and showed me a bird’s eye visualization of the whole thing. It was BONKERS. My branches are so intertwined due to endogamy that my family tree doesn’t look much like an inverted triangle at all. It may have been this site: https://learnforeverlearn.com/ancestors/ Currently trying to run this to see if it was, it is probably going to take awhile if it works at all because it’s such a large tree now, lol. Could probably export a GEDcom with limits on the size/who gets put in it from Wikitree and play with that, though.
Looks impressive. I fear that I am not making use of my DNA Painter subscription.
This is a great project Jane. I can’t wait to do mine, but have put it on my list for January. December is getting away from me.
Good to hear!
Great article Jane! You gave me all kinds of ideas.
As well as a visual representation I did a number crunching version a while ago

I am a great fan of the tree features at DNA Painter and also the tree apps at Wikitree.
